Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - Alvin Schwartz, Stephen Gammell I haven't read this book in years so this review is based on my recollection of it (which I think might be better in this case). I remember that the stories were twisted and creepy with a Twilight Zone type feel. But the scariest part? The illustrations! To this day, I cannot see one of the illustrations from this book without a chill going through me. One of the reasons I don't think I will be re-reading this book anytime soon is because of how scary I remember the images being. Sure, they might not scare me now as an adult but I'd rather keep my childhood memories of this book scaring the pants off me.
