I thought this book had promise but it fell short of the mark. The idea was interesting - a family that made a pact with the devil in order to gain power and the ability to change into predators. I actually found the two main characters to be a bit unbelievable. Ann, the shy assistant, suddenly decides that this is the weekend to seduce her boss. Jasha, the confident lady killer, suddenly falls for Ann despite knowing that she was in love with him before and not doing anything about it. I had a hard time seeing what their attraction was to each other or where the falling in love came from. The world holds promise but I think the characters and their motivations need to be worked out more in order for it to work.
