This isn't my favorite Poe collection but it was still enjoyable. I found The Fall of the House of Usher to be a bit tedious and long except for the very last part of it. Likewise I found The Red Death to be somewhat boring. My favorite story was probably The Black Cat, which was short but thoroughly creepy. Hop-Frog is good, too, and it's satisfying to see the king and his men get their due, even if it is in a grisly fashion. Gris Grimly's illustrations are pitch perfect and are both cute and disturbing, a hard feat to manage. Though not my favorite collection, still a nice selection of Poe's works with great illustrations.
