I picked this book up on a whim at borders. I am a sucker for a good paranormal romance and this one looked promising. Normally I would have tried to start at the beginning of the series but 1) I couldn't figure out what the actual order was (when will series books learn to just number their books?) and 2) it looked like I would be able to get away with reading out of order. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was quite easy to jump into the Hunter world. At times I did wish I knew a little more history on the Hunter organization and history but that's my fault for starting so far into the story. I found Kendall to be a likable heroine. Kane's sexy and tough and a good counterpart to Kendall. Overall I enjoyed the book and am interested in picking up others in the series.
